NWA Rampage Professional Wrestling returns to Johnny G's in Warner Robins, GA on Sunday, June 10, 2012 with a start time of 3PM, and in the tradition of the Crockett Cup presents the 1st annual RAMPAGE CUP Tag Team Tournament. Dr. Johnny Gayton plans an announcement this Sunday on the teams already in the 1st round and the teams contending for 1st round slots. Already announced for a 1st round match this Sunday is the new team of Jimmy Rave & NWA RPW Heavyweight Champion, Kyle Matthews vs ROH's Caprice "Ice" Coleman & Cedric Alexander.
Jimmy Rave teaming with Kyle Matthews was something few could have imagined until what happened at the Memorial Mayhem show on May 27. In the Main Event Kyle Matthews was able to defeat Jimmy Rave to retain the NWA RPW Heavyweight Title. Post match wrestlers celebrated with Matthews and the three remaining Jimmy Rave Approved wrestlers consoled Rave. Earlier in the show Patrick Bentley had lost a 4 way match that removed him from the Rave Approved Group. Rave approached Matthews and in a surprising show of respect shook his hand. Then former ROH Champion, Davey Richards and his group including Kyle O'Reilly came to the ring grabbing the microphone from Miss Allie on the way. Richards then confronted Rave, and said Rave had gone soft and was not the man he had respected. It got heated between Rave and Richards very quickly with a challenge thrown out of Rave and Matthews against Richards and O'Reilly. Dr, Johnny Gayton made it clear he'd book the match. Richards said he be there if Dr. Gayton came up with enough money. It is rumored Richards plans to return to RPW in July and is bringing O'Reilly and others with him. So with Richards and O'Reilly in their future, Rave & Matthews are entered enter the 1st annual Rampage Cup Tournament, and are facing a ROH team in the 1st round.
Also scheduled for Sunday June 10 will be one additional 1st round tournament match and three tag team contender matches to determine other 1st round teams in the Rampage Cyp Tournament. Drew Adler defends the NWA RPW TV Title again Mike Posey. KC McKnight who defeated Davey Richards at Memorial Mayhem faces the challenge of Dany Only. AJ Steele made it clear he will be at Johnny Gs on Sunday and that wants Murder 1 in the ring and that Murder 1 better be ready for the fight of his life..
