Saturday, August 2nd, Empire Wrestling presents our summer mega-event CRAZY FROM THE HEAT, headlined by the Empire Heavyweight Title Match between #1 contender Ace Rockwell and champion “The Temptation” Shaun Tempers. Walk into any wrestling show, on any night, anywhere in the state of GA, and you would be hard pressed to find someone who has never heard the names Ace Rockwell and Shaun Tempers. The Empire Heavyweight Champion is widely considered one of, if not THE, best unsigned talent in the state. He has held titles in multiple organizations. He holds the record for longest reign as NWA North American Champion, not to mention he has never tasted defeat at Empire Wrestling. Tempers’ time is now.
Rewind about 6 years, Ace Rockwell was a blue-chip prospect. He was a sure-thing for the big-time. However, life had other plans. A series of injuries forced Rockwell from the spot light. Many thought he had disappeared from the GA wrestling scene forever. Two years ago Ace Rockwell re-emerged. The doubters wondered if he would be the same man. Many were skeptical the injuries had taken their toll, but Empire fans can tell you, Ace Rockwell is better than ever. Finally healthy, and in the best shape of his life, Rockwell is primed and ready to take the Empire Heavyweight Title from around Shaun Tempers waist. Anyone who knows these two realizes that there is much more to this match than a title. These two men have a past, and in the coming weeks leading up to CRAZY FROM THE HEAT we will take a closer look at that past.
