Gage pinned Spade with the T-Busta!
- ProSouth Heavyweight Champion Brian Alexander had interview time and
promised a present for Commissioner Terry Batey next week!
- Hall of Famer Rick Freeman defeated "Southern Stud" Waylon Rhodes by
Disqualification when all of Southern Stud Enterprises attacked Freeman! Kyle Matthews, Ace
Haven & Tyler Gage ran out to make the save and all eight men brawled around the building!
Eventually the eight individuals were separated by security!

Cookin for the Cure, Oct 1, 2011, is a fund raiser for the 3day 60 mile walk that our friends are doing Oct 21-23, 2011.

BBQ will be prepared by Brett Gregory from Big Lemuel's Downsouth Smokin' BBQ.
Snow cone truck and face painting for the kidz big and small.

In our opening match of the night Cyrus defeated Keith Dye. After the match, Ring Announcer Buzz told Cyrus that the last time we saw him, Johnny Viper was dragging him out out Empire in a body bag. And since that night, Viper has been calling himself the Giant Killer. When asked about his thoughts, all Cyrus said was "Johnny Viper, Your Dead!!"
"The World's Greatest Athlete" Johnny Viper Defeated Korrupt. As Viper was celebrating, Cyrus hit the ring. Viper was quick to get out of the ring. He then told Cyrus that they would meet in the ring on September 24th, and that he had a surprise for Cyrus. He said he will meet The T.H.R.E.E.
Brother Fusion took on the team of Ben Thrasher and JC Kent next. It looked like Kent was gonna hit his finish on Ben, however, he accidentally hit Ben. This distraction allowed Brother Fusion to pick up the win. After the match, a frustrated Ben ended the tag team with JC Kent and left him in the ring.
New Empire Heavyweight Champion Dru Delite came to the ring next to celebrate winning the title. His celebration was short lived as Rush came to the ring. He told Dru that he has no idea what he has gotten into. He said Dru is a target and everyone is aiming for him. He told Dru it is hard to be a champion. Rush then said that his comeback starts now!!

Post match Ambassador's manager said it proved Casanova and the Love Of Money Tag Team Champion Team were "bad guys" and that the Ambassadors were the "good guys". Ambassadors vs Love of Money for the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles was set for 9-24.
In a NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title match, Azreal and Kimo were both counted out and post match the lockeroom cleared to separate them
Damien Wayne def Ty Tyson to retain the NWA Dawg Heavyweight Title
Hate Junkies (Only & Strykyn) def Mike West & Raymond King. Postmatch UAS (Shadow Jackson and Nemesis) confronted the Junkies forcing them to retreat. UAS said that the had reunited to "Kill Some Crackers" like the Junkies.
Seth Delay def Adrian Hawkins when Hawkins was DQed for not releasing the sharpshooter when Delay made it to the ropes. Hawkins held Delay in the hold until Steven Walters forced him from the ring.
Mikal Judas & Jacob Ashworth def Shaun Tempers and Bo Newsome when Judas pinned Tempers. Tempers vs Judas for the NWA North American title was set for 9-24 with a not DQ stipulation added to the title match.

"The Rocker" Terry Lawler celebrated his 22nd year in wrestling by taking on "Do Or Die" Chip Day at this show. NWA World Champion "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce had said in this promo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6c8EgBBcMM that if Chip could stay undefeated until Sacred Ground:Chapter Two on September 24th, that he would go to the NWA board and argue that Chip should get a shot at the NWA World Title. Terry Lawler said he was testing Chip. In the end, Chip won an emotional and fantastic match (likely match of the night). Terry Lawler announced that he would enter the Platinum Royal at Sacred Ground to make sure nobody from The Empire (who repeatedly tried to interfere in his match) would win.

CAMPUS Strike Force were beaten thoroughly from the Empire, and are listed as too injured to compete in the forseeable future
Vandal tied the Vandal Invitational series (a best-of-seven) at two matches a piece with Seth Delay The series will resume after Sacred Ground: Chapter Two
The Surrealists struck again, this time doing a performance artist rendition of the Konkrete Gorillaz theme song. The crowd roared in approval. The Gorillaz seemed less pleased.

The show started out with 1/2 of the Empire Tag Team Champions Jason Hampton in the ring celebrating Xtreme Generation's victory. However, the celebration was short lived as Empire announcer Crystal entered the ring and informed Jason that He had 30 days to name a new commissioner the day that Xtreme Generation became the interm commissioners, and that the 30 days was up today! She said he had to make a decision on the new commissioner before the end of the show.

JC Kent came to the ring and told the fans that for the past few months people have tried to make him look bad. He said people tried to pin The Reaper on him, and now they were trying to pin the injury to Ben Thrasher on him. He told the fans that they can believe in him, that he isn't the bad guy everyone is trying to be. But as Kent was talking The Reverend and Seven interrupted JC and made an "example" out of him. Seven beat down Kent and left him laying.

Andrew Alexander defeated Chip Day with the help from The Reverend and Seven;
The Reverend revealed that Andrew was the 2nd member in The Rejects.

After the match, Referee Buzz went to hand Dru the belt, but Rush made his return and grabbed the belt. He stared at it, then stared at Dru. Finally he handed Dru the belt and left. Dru was not able to celebrate long as New Empire Commissioner The Reverend (with Andrew Alexander and Seven) came to the ring and told Dru to enjoy being Empire's Heavyweight Champion, because in 30 days, Dru would defend the title against a challenger of The Reverends choosing.

Championship. He ruled that "Future Classic" Tyler Gage and "The Last Hero" Ace Haven were both
co-champions! If either Gage or Ace lose a match, then they both lose the All-Out Title!
"Future Classic" Tyler Gage retained the All-Out Title by defeating Frankie "So Fine" Valentine;
Gage won with a little help from Ace Haven! Frankie had the match won, but Ace
distracted the referee, allowing Gage to pin Frankie with an O'Connor roll!

PCW Champion Grotesque finally achieved his first truly successful title defense by knocking out Phantom and having the referee stop the match. He will face Mason in the cage at Sacred Ground: Chapter Two on September 24th for the PCW title
The Washington Bullets won match five in their best-of-five series, so they will go on to face The Konkrete Gorillaz (Brian Blaze and Geter) at Scared Ground: Chapter Two for the 2011 Tag Team Season title and trophy
Timmy McClendon challenged Geter to a match for next week (Sept. 2nd) and said he would retire if he could not beat him
The Konkrete Gorillaz held a funeral service for the Washington Bullets after the Bullets playoff win. The preacher identified himself as Bishop Dollars, and gave a rousing sermon to the Bullets, who faced off against Nemesis and Brian Blaze as the card went to intermission

The show opened up with the team of "The World's Greatest Athlete" Johnny Viper and "The Messiah" Talon Williams taking on the team of Ray Ray (who was making his Empire debut) and the returning Cousin Cletus. Viper and Talon picked up the victory after Viper hit The Final Strike on Ray Ray.
Interim Commissioners Xtreme Generation made their way to the ring next with a briefcase. They stated that Empire now has Tag Team titles, and that they were naming themselves as the tag team champions. But, as they tried to pull the new tag team titles out of the briefcase, Ben Thrasher and JC Kent interrupted them. Ben told Kent that after they beat Extreme Generation later tonight, that they would be the new Empire tag team champions!!However, Xtreme Generation made the match a non title match.
Thunder & Lightening defeated Candyland X-Press (who was making their Empire debut)
Next up, Mr. Showtime made his Empire debut as he took on Chip Hazard. Chip used a chain and beat Mr. Showtime, however, when the referee raised Chip's hand, Chip dropped the chain. The referee saw the chain and restarted the match. Chip then attacked Mr. Showtime. But, as Chip went to hit a clothesline, Mr. Showtime hit a crucifix pin and picked up the victory.
In the first match of the best of 3 series to name the new Empire Heavyweight Champion, Dru Delite defeated KT Hamill and has a 1-0 advantage and is one win away from being the new Empire Heavyweight Champion.
Ben Thrasher & JC Kent defeated The Self Appointed Empire Tag Team Champions Xtreme Generation in a non title match.
The main event of the evening was Damien Frost vs Cyrus in a body bag match. As Frost went to finish off Cyrus with The Nail in the Coffin, Cyrus moved and Damian hit the referee. Cyrus then hit Frost with the Baldo Bomb. But as Cyrus went to wake up the ref, Johnny Viper hit the ring with Chloroform, causing him to pass out. Viper then helped Frost put Cyrus in the body bag, and woke up the Ref. Damien Frost defeated Cyrus in the body bag match. Afterwards, Viper and Frost pulled Cyrus backstage.

Dragon*Con's 10th Anniversary Wrestling show, 09/02-05/11, in Atlanta GA
Well Well Well...DCW Wrestling Fans, can you believe it's been 10 years already??? That's right wrestling fans; it's our 10th year anniversary!!!!!! Now I could go on and on about all the things that we have done in the past, but I am not going to do that, oh no. We always bring you a better show than the last one.
I, and my main partner in crime A.J., have come up with a card to go along with an anniversary show, and it is going to be the best show we have ever done. If you have been a long time DCW fan, then you know what that means. So here we go, and in no particular order (because I can)...
How about a 4 way dance for the DCW light Heavy Weight Title? We have 2 former title holders, Chip and Mosley, along with Bo Newsome and someone who I have not told the other 3 about. Now this was going to be a 3 way dance, but with all the trash talk that Chip and Mosley were giving me and each other. About how they were going to get the belt again, and Bo saying he was getting it this time and that he was the better wrestler; I kind of got tired of listening to all of the crap. That's when I decided to add another guy and let them worry about it. (I love my job).
Now if you were at the show a couple of years ago, I know you remember when the action went out of the ring and got a little crazy. Well the cause of the craziness is back. That's right DCW fans the Hollywood Brunets are back, and way better than ever. I have a tag team match for them, but because of all the trouble they caused I have set them up with a tag team match that is going to get me some payback. I figured I wouldn't let them know who they were going up against and give them something else to worry about. Ya know this is going to be fun for me to watch.
For the Triple X-treme Title, a 3 Way Hard Core battle between ICE, Lightning and the return of STD. Oh yeah wrestling fans, we are going HARD CORE. ICE, a former DCW Cup Holder and the reigning Triple X-treme title holder, is going to put the title on the line. So he comes to me and tells me that he wants to get extreme on Lightning because of a little fray they had all because Lightning hit him with a chair after a match. Then, when STD made his return to Triple X-treme, he tells me that he wanted to let everyone know he had returned, better and badder than he has ever been. So what does he do? He comes in and jumps ICE during an interview and puts him through a table. Well wrestling fans that started all kinds of crap. They all wanted it, and you are going to get to see it first hand.
I have Shawn Tempers lined up to take on Rainman, holder of one half of the NWA Tag Team Championship Belts. Nope, not gonna tell you anymore about it, but I think you can get a good idea of what's going to happen in this one!
This match should bring the hotel down, a Monsters Ball. Tank, the man with the plan takes on...the leader of the Shadow Nation...Shadow Jackson, and one of the baddest men on the planet, Kimo, who is accompanied by his manager, Jeff G. Bailey. I know if you are a long time DCW fan, you know who Shadow is, and Kimo has been kick'n some serious butt the last couple of years. Then you have Tank, whose name says it all. These 3 awesome wrestlers have wanted to find out who is the MAN for quite a while.
The Dragons Cup Singles Title will have Brody going against Seth Delay. These 2 have been beating the heck out of each other for quite a while now, and it has been going back and forth on who has been coming out on top. Both of these outstanding wrestlers told me that this one is going to be for all the marbles.
This one should be an awesome match. For the Dragons Cup Tag Team Title, the Hate Junkies, with Father Dan Wilson will be going up against The Usual Suspects.
The Main Event will be a match that you will be talking about for years to come. This is the match that you will need to cover the ladies’ eyes and hide the kids for. 2 of the best wrestlers I have ever seen, and trust me I have seen most everyone since the mid sixties (yeah, I am that old), will be wrestling their last match against each other. Slim J., the man who holds the most titles in DCW history will be going up against Azrael, accompanied by the total babe, Crystal. These 2 outstanding wrestlers approached me about 6 months ago and told me they wanted to have their last match against each other to be at Dragon*Con in front of the best fans anywhere in the country. They have been wrestling against each other on and off for the last 10 years and it’s time to settle the question of who is the best. These 2 wrestled each other 10 years ago at our first show and it has been going on since. Fans, you know both of these wrestlers, and what they are capable of doing in the ring. They have both told me that everything, and I mean everything, is going to be left somewhere in the ball room. Will there be "foreign objects" used in this match, bet on it. Will there be "high flying" in this match, just hide and watch. Fans get your cameras ready for this one!!!!
DCW fans, you know that there will be other things going on at the show. There always is. Do I have some surprises for you? I always do. There are times that I don't know what's going to happen because wrestlers just show up and want to be part of the show. It gets to be an adventure sometimes. But all of us go all out all the time, because we have the best fans anywhere. We could not do this without you! Remember, Friday night of the Con, 7:00pm, pool level of the Hyatt, the rooms on the left. And for the Ladies, if you want to be a ring babe and escort a wrestler to the ring, stop by around 5:00pm.
