"The Rocker" Terry Lawler celebrated his 22nd year in wrestling by taking on "Do Or Die" Chip Day at this show. NWA World Champion "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce had said in this promo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6c8EgBBcMM that if Chip could stay undefeated until Sacred Ground:Chapter Two on September 24th, that he would go to the NWA board and argue that Chip should get a shot at the NWA World Title. Terry Lawler said he was testing Chip. In the end, Chip won an emotional and fantastic match (likely match of the night). Terry Lawler announced that he would enter the Platinum Royal at Sacred Ground to make sure nobody from The Empire (who repeatedly tried to interfere in his match) would win.
Mr. Xcitement and Mark Polo will wrestle one another at the 9/16 card
CAMPUS Strike Force were beaten thoroughly from the Empire, and are listed as too injured to compete in the forseeable future
Vandal tied the Vandal Invitational series (a best-of-seven) at two matches a piece with Seth Delay The series will resume after Sacred Ground: Chapter Two
The Surrealists struck again, this time doing a performance artist rendition of the Konkrete Gorillaz theme song. The crowd roared in approval. The Gorillaz seemed less pleased.
