Georgia Christian Wrestling Federaton returns to Rome, GA, April 17th

The GCWF event planned for Saturday, April 17, will benefit a local children’s charity.

Jeff Ballard and Post Commander Alan Smith of VFW #4911 are organizing the event.

All proceeds from the event will go towards a surprise children’s charity and will be disclosed at the wrestling event. “It’s a good cause,” Ballard said. “We just want it to be a surprise for the recipient.”

Matches scheduled for the event include the following:

Billy Havoc vs Jay-Bird;

Alcatraz vs The Texas Ranger;

The All Star vs The Patriot;

Mike Rhodes vs Billy The Kid;

Hott Stuff Brian Slater & Chad Case (w/Fast Freddie) vs J.J. Grizzly & Cousin Cleatus.

The GCWF wrestling event will take place at the VFW #4911 at 2632 Cedartown Highway in Rome.

A Meet-and-Greet with the wrestlers will take place from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., with bell time for the wrestling events at 8 p.m.

General admission is $5, with ringside seats available for $8. Children under 8 are free.

“This will be an exciting event that will benefit a worthwhile cause,” Smith said.
