The GCWF event planned for Saturday, April 17, will benefit a local children’s charity.
Jeff Ballard and Post Commander Alan Smith of VFW #4911 are organizing the event.
All proceeds from the event will go towards a surprise children’s charity and will be disclosed at the wrestling event. “It’s a good cause,” Ballard said. “We just want it to be a surprise for the recipient.”
Matches scheduled for the event include the following:
Billy Havoc vs Jay-Bird;
Alcatraz vs The Texas Ranger;
The All Star vs The Patriot;
Mike Rhodes vs Billy The Kid;
Hott Stuff Brian Slater & Chad Case (w/Fast Freddie) vs J.J. Grizzly & Cousin Cleatus.
The GCWF wrestling event will take place at the VFW #4911 at 2632 Cedartown Highway in Rome.
A Meet-and-Greet with the wrestlers will take place from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., with bell time for the wrestling events at 8 p.m.
General admission is $5, with ringside seats available for $8. Children under 8 are free.
“This will be an exciting event that will benefit a worthwhile cause,” Smith said.
