NWA NORTH AMERICAN TITLE TOURNAMENT UPDATE

CHARLOTTE, NC: By virtue of the Sheik's winning the NWA World Heavyweight title, the NWA Board of Directors vacated the NWA North American title. A tournament will be held throughout various locations in the NWA in the coming weeks and months to crown a new champion

KYLE MATTHEWS defeated CHIP DAY (replacing MIKE POSEY) on 5-13 at NWA Pro South Wrestling in Piedmont, AL to advance to the second round. Mike Posey forfeited his spot to fellow Jimmy Rave Approved team member, Day, when TNA iMPACT WRESTLING commitments created a schedule conflict.

SHAUN TEMPERS defeated CAPRICE COLEMAN on 5-14 at NWA Anarchy in Cornelia, GA to advance to the second round.

COREY HOLLIS defeated J ROD on 5-15 at NWA Rampage Pro Wrestling in Warner-Robins, GA to advance to the second round.

SHAUN TEMPERS – E Tennessee based Shaun Tempers is a 2 time NWA Anarchy Television Champion, 2 time NWA Wildside Tag Team Champion, 2 Time NWA Anarchy Television Champion, and 1 time Ultimate NWA Tag Team Champion.

COREY HOLLIS – Alabama based Corey Hollis is a 1 time NWA Tennessee Junior Heavyweight Champion and 1 time Ultimate NWA Tag Team Champion. He was selected by Pro Wrestling Illustrated Magazine as a Rookie of the Year Runner-up for 2010.

KYLE MATTHEWS - Georgia based Kyle Matthews won the Tim Woods Award as Best Technical Wrestler in Georgia in both 2009 & 2010. Matthews has been a regular performer in numerous NWA Promotions throughout the Southeast including NWA Anarchy, NWA Rampage Pro Wrestling, NWA Florida, Ultimate NWA, NWA In Chattanooga and recently completed a Japan tour with NWA Zero 1 Max.

ACE ROCKWELL – E Tennessee based Ace Rockwell is a 2 time NWA Wildside Tag Team Champion, 1 time NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion, 1 time NWA Anarchy Television Champion, 1 time NWA Anarchy Tag Team Champion, and the current NWA Southern Heavyweight Champion.
