Rampage Pro Wrestling joins The National Wrestling Alliance

- from Bill Behrens

Warner Robins, GA- Dr. Johnny Gayton announces that Rampage Pro Wrestling (RPW) recently joined the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) as an Associate Member. All RPW events and television shows will be sanctioned by the NWA. Dr. Gayton said “I am pleased to have Rampage Pro Wrestling as part of the NWA, a legendary organization that has a storied history in Middle Georgia. I am convinced that this partnership will be good for the fans and wrestlers of RPW and facilitate the resurgence of the NWA in Middle Georgia."

Legendary wrestling announcer and Hall of Fame member, Gordon Solie, regularly reminded viewers that Georgia Championship Wrestling on WTCG/WTBS was "sanctioned by the National Wrestling Alliance, the oldest and largest sanctioning body in professional wrestling.” The NWA formed in 1948 and is celebrating its 63rd year with members throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, Australia, and Japan. For several years Total Non-Stop Wrestling (TNA) was sanctioned by the NWA. Many wrestling fans will recall NWA events at the Macon City Auditorium and the Macon Coliseum where the NWA Macon Heavyweight and NWA Macon Tag Team titles were defended as well as other major NWA titles. Cyclone & Roberto Soto won the NWA Macon Tag Team Titles in 1969 and Buddy Colt became the 1st NWA Macon Heavyweight Champion in 1970. Other wrestling stars who defended NWA titles in middle Georgia included Mr. Wrestling 1 & 2, Ole & Gene Anderson, "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin, Rocky Johnson (the father of WWE superstar the Rock), Jerry Lawler, Abdullah the Butcher, the Road Warriors, El Mongol, and many more. The NWA World Championship has been held by many superstars including Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, Jack Brisco, Dory Funk, Jr., Harley Race, Lou Thesz, Tommy Rich, AJ Styles, Jeff Jarrett, Raven and current 3 time champion, Adam Pearce

Bill Behrens, a current NWA Director and a past NWA President, is currently one of the hosts of RPW's highly rated weekly television show. He shares those duties with well known Georgia wrestling personality, Ben Masters. Behrens feels very strongly that “RPW is a great addition to the NWA family. It’s a strong, well run promotion, very fan friendly with a great crew of wrestlers." The RPW roster includes former NWA World Junior Champion & TNA star - Jimmy Rave, former WWE & Japan star - Bull Buchanan, RPW Heavyweight Champion - J Rod, RPW Tag Team Champions - The Usual Suspects, RPW TV Champion - Jeremy Vain, Kyle Matthews, Mike Posey, Corey Hollis, Cru Jones, Shawn Banks, Doc Gayton and many more. Current NWA World Tag Team Champions, The Dark City Fight Club, have already defended their titles twice in RPW, and they will return soon. RPW also plans to bring in the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. “Wrestling fans have many reasons to be excited with RPW bringing the NWA back to Middle Georgia”, added Behrens.

Rampage Pro Wrestling promotes and produces its weekly TV from Johnny G’s in Warner Robins, GA on the 1st, 3rd & 5th Saturdays of each month with a 7PM belltime. The RPW one hour TV shows airs in Middle Georgia on Fox 24 each Saturday morning at 9 and on Cox Communications channel 11 on Thursdays at 8PM on Saturdays at noon. It is also seen on My41.2 each week. The half hour Rewind program can be seen on Cox Communications 11 M, W, & F 5PM Fri & Sat 11:30PM & on My41 Sat noon. Fans can also watch the one hour program and find out more about Rampage Pro Wrestling at www.rampageprowrestling.net.

New Rampage Pro Wrestling TV episode online

New Rampage Pro Wrestling TV episode online

Watch the new RPW TV episode here

- from RPW

The February 12, 2011 edition of Rampage Pro Wrestling begins with highlights from the main event of January 29's Rampage Reloaded supercard at Johnny G's. The video shows J-Rod perfectly connecting the Superman knee into the mouth of Shaun Banks to become RPW Heavyweight Champion for the first time!

Your hosts are Bill Behrens & Ben Masters.

J-Rod defeated Corey Hollis to retain the RPW Heavyweight Title
The show begins with J-Rod coming out to the ring with his newly-won title to speak to the fans. He explains that he's going to be a fighting champion and will duck a challenge from nobody. Jimmy Rave's music hits and he enters ringside with Corey Hollis at his side. Rave calls out J-Rod on his claims and suggests he put the belt on the line against Hollis right now. J-Rod quickly agrees. A referee enters the ring and the title match is on. Rave immediately gets ejected again by referee Dustin Robinson. As he's getting ejected, Hollis takes advantage of the chaos to clip J-Rod's knee. The next few minutes see Hollis working on J-Rod's knee in an effort to neutralize the Superman knee. Hollis goes for a senton splash from the top but misses. J-Rod immediately cradles Hollis in a half-nelson and pins him for his first successful title defense!

The celebration is cut short immediately though, as Bull Buchanan enters the ring and grabs the belt. He informs J-Rod he wants a title match as soon as possible before handing the belt back to him. Will J-Rod give Buchanan a title match?

Backstage, Charlie Cash is with his revamped Cash Vault. He declares whereas Pain and Killer Instinct couldn't get the job done, Bobby Moore, The Hate Junkies, and The Judge will do so. The Judge then speaks his first words to RPW fans in a deep, chilling baritone. He says Dr. Gayton knows what he's done and that the Judge will be his judge, jury, and executioner.

Back in the ring, one half of the RPW Tag Team Champions, Murder One, emerges. He says RPW tried to give them a night off since A.J. Steele suffered a shoulder injury during last week's main event against the Dark City Fight Club. M1 says that's not good enough for him and wants someone to fight. Bobby Moore rushes the ring and we have an unsanctioned brawl going on. The Hate Junkies enter the ring and Dany Only ends up throwing fire in the face of M1! Dr. Gayton, Frankie Valentine, Mr. Jones, and both referees rush the ring to get M1 assistance while Cash's guys bolt.

Bull Buchanan defeated Adrian Hawkins
Hawkins is looking to get back into the win column since his lost to Jeremy Vain in last week's brutal no countout, no disqualification title match. Bull, meanwhile, is looking at adding to his case that he should be the next #1 contender to J-Rod. Buchanan spends the entire contest overwhelming Hawkins with his sheer strength and power. Hawkins maintains just enough to stay alive every time until Buchanan hits the lethal lariat for an impressive victory.

Backstage, Kyle Matthews is reflecting on his contest with Jimmy Rave at Rampage Reloaded. In that match, referee Dustin Robinson accidentally got slurpee kicked by Matthews. Rave proceeded to rip off Robinson's belt and whip Matthews with it. In next week's main event, Rave will face Matthews again with 10 fans surrounding the ring wielding leather straps to keep both men in the ring. Matthews says he's ready, and he hopes Rave is too.

Hot Like Lava vs. Drew Adler & Michael Stevens
It is now time for this week's main event, as Hot Like Lava will take on Drew Adler & Michael Stevens. It is the first time since Banks returned to RPW in June 2010 that he is not the RPW Heavyweight Champion. As commentator Bill Behrens remarked, it is very weird to see Banks without the gold. Adler & Stevens have spent the last couple of months trying to prove they are a lot more than a comedy act. They once again showed that promise and upside with a strong showing against Hot Like Lava. Unfortunately, lack of focus or immaturity or whatever negative factor caused Adler & Stevens to start goofing off during their offense. This opened the door for Cru Jones to take both men down at once. Hot Like Lava hit the double kriss kross clothesline for the victory in this week's main event.

It's "Redemption," One of the matches will feature former WCW superstar Dave Diamond, who was scheduled to wrestle T.A. Stanton for the ACW Heavyweight Championship at "New Beginnings." Diamond, however, was attacked by an unknown assiliant one week before the show, and looks to seek revenge on the man he suspects the strongest, T.A. Stanton. The ACW commissioner, however, has stated that due to safety concerns for his champion,... Diamond will be able to get ahold of Stanton, but only in a tag team match. It will be Dave Diamond & Velvet Jones against The "Lights" T.A. Stanton & The "New Age Thriller" Steve Stiles in a mega tag team match, where the ACW Heavyweight Championship will be on the line. So, Diamond or Jones could walk away with the ACW Heavyweight Championship. It's a must-win situation for Stanton.

Also, the main event will feature a Best Two out of Three Falls Match, between Thunder & Lightning and The Washington Bullets, with no DQ or countouts allowed. The ACW Commissioner has stated that no matter what, there must be a winner.

Women's tag team action as well, as Tiffany Roxx and Jessica Wetmore renew their rivarly. They each will bring tag team partners, as Tiffany Roxx brings her long time partner Rock-C in to form the Rocketts, to face Wetmore and her partner, Hailey Rage.

Ace Heffner made his return at "New Beginnings," and announced that he is bringing Tim "Lobo" Lowe in to help him beat Brandon Kage. The ACW Commissioner upped the stakes, announcing it as a No. 1 Contender's Match, to be fought under Street Fight rules.

NWA/ROH Star Corey Hollis made his ProSouth debut defeating Stinger Shawn
Seagle in our opening match.

"Future Classic" Tyler Gage showed why he is still All-Out Champion, by
making quick work of Jed Johnson. Gage continued the punishment of
Johnson, prompting "Epic" Grant Mitchell to make the save!

Next up was collumbine & "Epic" Grant Mitchell versus Drew "The Bull"
Scott and the returning Daniel Alexander! As collumbine and Drew brawled
on the outside, Daniel Alexander got a single serving of "Epic" Grant's
foot and was down for the three count.

At this point, Commissioner Terry Batey called our concession stand
worker, Kendall, into the ring. He gave her flowers that he said were sent
by a secret admirer.

Kyle Matthews vs "Do or Die" Chip Day ended in a No Contest when Mike
Posey, Corey Hollis, and Jimmy Rave hit the ring. Following this, Ace
Haven and Scott Spade cleared the ring with chairs! Commissioner Terry
Batey was furious and made an impromptu tag match right on the spot!

Mike Posey and Corey Hollis defeated Ace Haven & Scott Spade via
underhanded tactics! Jimmy Rave and Chip Day were ringside, however this
would be short-lived, as Rave was ejected for getting involved in the
action and Chip Day was assaulted to the back by an angry Kyle Matthews! A
fast-paced back and forth match was underway as the odds were even,
eventually a bloodied Ace Haven made the tag to Scott Spade, but Spade was
cheated out of the victory!

Post-match as the two teams brawled, HoFer Rick Freeman came to the ring
and leveled all the of Jimmy Rave Approved, except their "fearless"
leader, Jimmy Rave! Terry Batey returned once more with two HUGE
announcements. On Feb 11th, Jimmy Rave, Chip Day, Corey Hollis and Mike
Posey will do battle with Ace Haven, Kyle Matthews, Scott Spade and a
fourth partner! But wait, there's more! Terry Batey said he was in need of
a break, and that next week, Rick Freeman would be interim commissioner!

ALREADY SIGNED FOR NEXT WEEK (Feb 4th):
Corey Hollis, Mike Posey, & Chip Day will face collumbine, Ace Haven &
Scott Spade!

Plus so much more!
