The card opened with the playing of the Platinum Championship Wrestling theme to a hot crowd with new ring announcer, David Chandler. Oscar Worthy, The Vandal and De La Vega were already in the ring, with Miss Quinn at ringside. Warhorse Issue #1, #21 and #300 (with Johnathan Davis Wynn) came to the ring, and the match was underway.
MATCH NUMBER ONE – Oscar Worthy, De La Vega and The Vandal (accompanied by Miss Quinn) versus Warhorse Issue #1, #21 and #300 (with Johnathan Davis Wynn)
De La Vega and Vandal did the heavy lifting for their team, battering Warhorse Issue #1 and #300 throughout the match. 300 did notably floor Vega with his Spartan Kick, and Issue #1 managed to climb to the top rope, only to then go back down to the bottom rope to deliver a superheroic double axe handle. In the end, Warhorse #21 managed to tag in, but missed his bronco buster. Oscar Worthy, who had never entered the match to that point, blind tagged himself in, grabbed #21 in a double underhook, and delivered a rolling neckbreaker for the win.
WINNER OF MATCH NUMBER ONE – Oscar Worthy, De La Vega and The Vandal (accompanied by Miss Quinn) with Oscar Worthy hitting Roll the Clip on Warhorse #21 via pinfall over Warhorse Issue #1, Warhorse #21 and Warhorse #300 (with Johnathan Davis Wynn)
After the match, Oscar Worthy declared his greatness. After declaring that wrestling “was easy” Johnathan Davis Wynn took umbrage, declaring that if Worthy could get his crew together for next week, he’d bring in four men who would teach Worthy respect for the business.
Brian Blaze came to the ring next to loud cheers. Mason came to the ring accompanied by The Witnesses and his humongous bodyguard.
MATCH NUMBER TWO – Brian Blaze versus Mason (accompanied by The Witnesses)
Brian Blaze held his own against the skilled Mason, exchanging a series of headlocks and managing to keep up with the Demigod for a time. Mason started battering Blaze, who responded by rocking Mason with brutal punches. Mason seemed confused by the onslaught. As time wore on in the match, however, Blaze appeared to tire. As much weight as he’s lost since he’s begun wrestling, Mason’s conditioning advantage started to weigh on Blaze. Brian managed to pick up Mason in his “protein shake” torture rack style submission, but one of the Witnesses grabbed Blaze’s ankle and distracted him. Mason turned and applied his Occam’s Razor finisher, and the exhausted Blaze withered to the mat and the match was stopped.
WINNER OF MATCH NUMBER TWO – Mason with Occam’s Razor via referee stoppage over Brian Blaze
Jay Fury of the Konkrete Gorillaz came to the ring next, and started talking about the top wrestlers in Platinum Championship Wrestling. The crowd yelled for various wrestlers to come shut the vociferous Fury’s mouth. One man did come to the ring. “The Natural” Shane Marx, to the roar of the crowd. Marx simply declared that he wanted the PCW Title, and that he wasn’t scared of anyone, including Jay Fury.
Timmy McClendon was next, and kept bringing up Dwight Power in another unforgettable and hilarious promo. He said that he, Timmy, was an “animal” and would show Dwight Power how great he was in a tune up match. That tune up match would be the undefeated, mammoth Geter.
MATCH NUMBER THREE – Timmy McClendon versus Geter
Timmy McClendon moved around the ring. When he went to shake Geter’s hand, Geter floored Timmy with a right hand and the ref stopped the match immediately.
WINNER OF MATCH NUMBER THREE – Geter with a right cross via knockout over Timmy McClendon
Geter left, another victory in less than 30 seconds. Dwight Power came to the ring in spite of being suspended from wrestling a match for the week for stomping his last opponent after the match. Dwight cradled the unconscious Timmy’s head, congratulated him for having “a great match.” Then he ominously said “see you next week” and dropped Timmy’s head.
Oscar Worthy came to the ring, leading Andrew Pendleton III, his pride and joy, to the ring. Oscar declared Andrew would crush Najasism. Andrew in a serous tone said that he would make his mark in the match. Najasism came to the ring to loud cheers, taking his time and working the crowd with his unique ring entrance. As he entered the ring, Andrew jumped him before the bell, and the match was on!
MATCH NUMBER FOUR – Andrew Pendleton III (accompanied by Oscar Worthy) versus Najasism
Andrew battered Najasism early, using his superior size and strength to try and bottle up the human lightning bolt known as Najasism. Naja came back, dazzling Pendleton with an array of flying kicks and quick moves, and holding him down with a near fall following a springboard moonsault. Pendleton retaliated in grand style, catching Najasism in mid air, hoisting him up, then dropping him face down to the mat for the apparent win. Najasism managed to kick out at the last instant, sending the PCW fans into a frenzy of cheering and chanting of his name. Najasism leapt from the second rope and hit an amazing stunner on Andrew which appeared to crumple him. Oscar Worthy leapt up on the apron. As referee Bull Leahy tried to send Worthy to the back, Najasism’s temper got the better of him and he tried to grab Worthy. Pendleton charged, but Naja moved…barely avoiding contact, Worthy and Pendleton seemed relieved…until Najasism rolled Pendleton up with a nifty bridging pin to seal the win!
WINNER OF MATCH NUMBER FOUR – Najasism with against the ropes roll up with a bridging pin via pinfall over Andrew Pendleton III (accompanied by Oscar Worthy)
Pendleton immediately attacked Najasism. The Avant Guards hit the ring and the three men put the boots to Najasism. Suddenly, strange music came over the PA system, and a gorgeous woman with a half mask and a black chair entered the ring. Oscar Worthy’s crew stood in stunned silence for a bit. Pendleton decided to attack, and the mysterious woman deftly sidestepped him and tossed him from the ring. The Avant Guards seemed to know they were in for it, and played “rock, paper, scissors” to determine who would next try the woman in black. Vandal lost, and reluctantly started throwing punches, which the nimble minx dodged, before stopping a punch with her chair. As Vandal shook his injured hand and howled, the woman put the folded chair under his chin and slamed his head down, nearly decapitating the young wrestler as the crowd leapt to its feet in delight and disbelief! De La Vega was backed into a corner by the powerful woman. He bowed to her and blew a kiss…he could be heard crying as if he knew what was coming. The woman cracked Vega with the chair, dropping him to the mat as the crowd roared and Worthy fumed on the outside. The show went to intermission with the crowd buzzing about the mysterious woman, who the recovering Najasism just stared at as she exited, stage left.
Michael Cannon and Scott Steel came to the ring to a chorus of boos. The Washington Bullets received their usual wild approval, and this grudge match was on.
MATCH NUMBER FIVE – Michael Cannon and Scott Steel versus The
Power wasted no time, clubbing away at Iesha from the start. He attempted to boot her while she was on the mat, but Iesha flipped him to the mat with a nifty armdrag variation, then ducked Power’s retaliatory strike and wowed the crowd with a flying head scissors. The crowd’s jubilation was quickly stopped when Dwight leveled the popular Sunshine with a clothesline, then stomped on her back until she lay motionless on the mat. Referee Bull Leahy stopped the match, pushing the enraged Power away.
WINNER OF MATCH NUMBER FIVE – The Washington Bullets (Jon and Trey Williams) with backcracker/cutter combination via pinfall over Michael Cannon and Scott Steele, Trey Williams pinning Michael Cannon
This match was highlighted by the power and immovability of Scott Steel and the stellar teamwork of Jon and Trey. Michael Cannon was repeatedly rocked by the Bullets. Scott Steel made his presence felt, battering the Bullets from pillar to post. In the end, the superior teamwork of the Bullets won out, as they were able to get the immense Steel from the ring, apply their nifty double team finisher to Cannon and score the win.
The Reverend and Young made their way to the ring, respectively, looking all business for the important match ahead.
MATCH NUMBER SIX – The Reverend Waylan Grimm versus “The Attraction” Hayden Young
It was a shockingly quick affair, with both men wrestling with total abandon. Young’s much improved striking seemed to shock and awe the larger Grimm. But Grimm, ever the crafty veteran, used his large body to drop Young to the mat repeatedly before applying his sleephold. As Young withered, Grimm went for a big play, picking Young up and jackknifing him to the mat with a standing back suplex. Young managed to get out of the pin to the delight of the crowd. Grimm, undaunted, picked him up again, but Young twisted in the air, knocking Grimm off balance. As Grimm stumbled to his feet, Young unleashed a new move…a flying knee that looked like a trainwreck, dropping the Reverend and leading to a win for “The Attraction!”
WINNER OF MATCH NUMBER SIX – “The Attraction” Hayden Young with flying knee strike via pinfall over Reverend Waylan Grimm
Young was thrilled after the win, telling the fans that he was thrilled to still be in the running for the PCW title and that he would do his best to not let them down, ending the show on a big high note!
